Projects
Broad multi-year projects are the principal strategy in which the FPSC fulfills its mandate. Typically, each project begins with original research, data collection and analysis out of which new knowledge and programs are developed.
FPSC's reports focus on four key areas:
- Assessing transition programs for laid-off forest products workers
- Renewing Canada’s Greenest workforce: A Labour Market Intelligence report
- Conversation and Collaboration: Building the future Canadian forest products sector with Aboriginal talent
- Innovation through Tradition: Apprenticeship, regulated occupations and workforce development in Canada’s forest products sector
Work in these areas helps FPSC foster connections with regional, provincial and national stakeholders, monitor a changing forest products industry sector, and keep abreast of trends and new research.
